ज़िंदगी ये कदम कदम, लेगी तेरा इम्तिहान।
किसका है तुझे इंतजार, अ दिल–ए–नादान।
कोई ना तुझे बहलायेगा,
हर दर्द तुझे रुलायेगा।
कोई तुझे पुकारे ऐसी ना कोई पहचान।
ज़िंदगी ये कदम कदम, लेगी तेरा इम्तिहान।
Life will test you every step of the way.
What are you waiting for, oh innocent heart?
No one will amuse you,
Every pain will make you cry.
There is no recognition that someone can call you.
Life will test you every step of the way.
दर्द–ए–दुनिया में जी ले,
यादों का जहर मुफ्त पी ले।
लावारिश लाश बना जिस्म, बदन से जुदा है जान।
ज़िंदगी ये कदम कदम, लेगी तेरा इम्तिहान।
Live in a world of pain,
Drink the poison of memories for free.
The body has become an abandoned corpse, the life is attached to the body.
Life will test you every step of the way.
वो वक़्त कोई और था, जब होता था तेरा कोई अपना।
अक्सर ख्वाब टूट जाता है, वो बन कर रह गया सपना।
धुँआ से घिरा आसमान, और खाख हुए अरमान।
ज़िंदगी ये कदम कदम, लेगी तेरा इम्तिहान।
That was a different time, when you had someone close to you.
Often the dream is broken, it remains a dream.
The sky surrounded by smoke, and ashes in ashes.
Life will test you every step of the way.
कोई देगा ना तेरा साथ,
क्यों माने ना तू मेरी बात।
पीछे मूड़ कर क्या देखे, जमाना ये अनजान।
ज़िंदगी ये कदम कदम, लेगी तेरा इम्तिहान।
Will someone support you?
Why don’t you listen to me?
The world doesn’t know what to look back at.

ज़िंदगी की राहों में रह गया तू अकेला है।
तन्हाई का आलम और दर्दों का झमेला है।
कोई दे ना तुझको आवाज, अब तो बात मेरी मान।
ज़िंदगी ये कदम कदम, लेगी तेरा इम्तिहान।
You are left alone in the paths of life.
There is a world of loneliness and pain.
Someone should give you a voice, now it’s my opinion.
